Club 8 - Whatever You Want
So part of the reason I wanted to start this journaling area was to be able to share my favorite music of the hour/day/week. It’s probably not going to be extremely relevant in terms of sticking to a certain genre (I’m sort of all over the place), but you can bet it will definitely be fun and eclectic! By that I mean some days I’m listening to Billy Joel on my commute and suddenly remember how awesome “Uptown Girl” is, and the next day I’m listening to something really obscure by Grizzly Bear that I heard on WOXY.com recently.
But it’s important to me to spread the gospel of good music, because it is one of the few things that really makes me smile and lets me escape the burdens of everyday DC life. And it makes me feel like I am doing some small service to my friends and random passers-by, corny as that sounds. Why was I prevented from playing trombone in 5th grade…this is obviously a passion of mine.
To start off, I’m posting a song by Club 8 that I keep hearing called “Whatever You Want” which almost sounds like Madonna’s “Holiday” for the first few seconds and tricks me everytime. It’s very light and airy and makes me want to twirl around on a sunny day in a field full of wildflowers and kittens, a feeling that’s never bad when you’re as moody as I am! Cheers!
