Finally got my pix up from our visit to Artomatic this past weekend in DC. I am totally in love with the pictures to the left. There was so much cool stuff to see from local artists from photography and sculpture to performance art and even a tattoo parlor! We made it through about half of the 10 floors, though we missed the band we wanted to see called Mostly Monkey. The name sounded promising!

I enjoyed the Peep diorama area a lot, and the photography was also quite excellent. It was also nice being awash in such a diverse group of people gathering for the simple act of experiencing art. I never feel like I fit into the “art community” as it is, but there were so many types of people from elderly couples to fire dancers to scene kids to goths that it was totally comforting.
