Hey there, I’m Brandi!
I’m a designer and front-end developer living in Washington DC, ever-excited about all things web. I’ve been in the business for over 7 years now, and I honestly never tire of what I do.
I feel that I’m a rare breed in some ways in that I not only design websites (and other materials like logos, biz cards and posters), but I also code the front-end of the websites I mock up. I’ve loved getting my hands dirty in CSS and HTML ever since college and am always eager to learn more. My skillset took a major leap upwards after I learned how to theme content management systems like WordPress and Drupal several years ago. Now my new passion is responsive design and best practices for mobile display. I also enjoy playing with javascript libraries like jQuery.
I love design and find myself getting lost in sites like Smashing Magazine, design work life, and many others. Type is a passion and I am always adding to my font collection and looking for new inspiration. Man, you can’t beat a standby like Gotham or Helvetica Neue, though. I also adore silkscreen gig posters.
As far as the rest of my activities are concerned, I enjoy music (Fleet Foxes, Tennis, Eisley, Interpol, Chairlift, David Bowie, and on and on), cooking, interior design, and old 70s horror movies. Plus, I like sloths.
